In 2025, Gaining Ground India and Leaf Design came together to evolve the brand’s positioning and digital presence, aligning it with their two-decade journey of helping individuals and families lead more intentional financial lives. As a firm built on trust, empathy, and lifelong relationships, Gaining Ground had grown steadily over the years, but their identity and communication needed to catch up with the depth and maturity of their philosophy. The goal was not just to redesign their website, but to create a cohesive brand experience that could carry their values forward and deepen their connection with clients, both existing and new.
Laying the foundation
To reflect Gaining Ground’s evolution and deepen their connection with both existing and prospective clients, we began by distilling the core of who they are: a life-centered financial advisory firm built on trust, clarity, and human connection. This informed every layer of our strategy from narrative and messaging to design and structure.
The strategic goal was to position the brand as a long-term partner in their clients’ financial journeys, while enabling new users to build trust from the very first interaction.
Understanding Target Users
Our research revealed that Gaining Ground’s clients arrive through referrals, bringing initial trust but often a sense of financial unease. They are not looking for aggressive strategies. They value clarity, calm, and meaningful guidance. What they seek is a trusted partner who can simplify decisions and align finances with life goals.
These insights shaped a human-first experience: empathetic in tone, structured in flow, and grounded in long-term relationships.
User Journey explained
Creating a successful brand in many ways depends on the ability to understand. Hence, to empathise with people we conduct user interviews, apply analytics and collect specific data. We mapped a customer journey that provided insights into creating an enriched experience. By curating a smart system for maintaining medical records and regimens, as well as instilling virtuous health habits, we strengthened our relationship with the members: a critical key to providing more valuable services over time.

The goal was not simply to present information, but to create a space that feels thoughtful, calm, and intuitive by mirroring the firm’s approach to financial planning.
The website was shaped to serve both existing and prospective clients: offering clarity around services, surfacing valuable insights, and opening pathways to meaningful conversations. We approached content and structure with intention. Gaining Ground is one of the few firms in India equipped to use this tool with co-founder Kshitija having completed a specialised life-centered planning course from Money Quotient, USA.
